John Talbot first came to Berkshire in 1970 to take a Science degree at Reading University. He then spent ten years serving the public of Berkshire in the Trading Standards Department, enforcing and investigating breaches in all aspects of consumer protection law.
Talbot’s Investigation Services was launched in 1985 in central Reading, offering the full range of investigative services to private, legal and commercial clients in the Thames Valley and greater London.
In August 2007 John Talbot relocated his business in Grantham, Lincs. Sadly, a major operation in January of 2009 has meant the scaling down of his UK investigative business, allowing him to concentrate on his US clients at www.atpps.com.
Our top priority is to run a professional organisation. John Talbot is registered with both the Data Protection Registrar (No: K1640087) and under the Consumer Credit Act (Licence No: 203202).
We make a point of adhering to the principles and details of Data Protection and similar legislation. We know that there are still some in this profession who do not. Our view is that if they are prepared to break the law on behalf of a client, what is to stop them breaking the law against the client? And there is every chance that information gathered in breach of such laws could be excluded from the client's case, jeopardising everything a client is trying to achieve.
